Hotel Krone Rudesheim 100 years of family tradition

Our house, the Hotel Krone was first  mentioned in 1700 as a guest house and is the oldest in Rüdesheim. It was used at that time as a posting station. In 1910 an uncle bought the hotel and in 1916 the great-grandfather Nikolaus Trapp took over the inn, which has since been owned by the family. Likewise, the vinyards are run by the family since that time.

Notable poets such as Clemens von Brentano and Carl von Savigny were guests. Also stayed here Johann Wolfgang von Goethe at the inauguration of Rochuskapelle in Bingen on 15th August 1814.

During the war on 10th January 1943, the house was heavily damaged by a chimney fire. Only the ground floor and the 1st floor were rescued. After that the 2nd and 3rd floor were constructed. The hotel now has 48 beds and the rooms are all equipped with shower, toilet, telephone and TV.
